Musical talents are sought in the 'VIII Artistic Contest of Young Performers Tenor Cortis'

El Conservatory of Music tenor Cortis de Dénia reaches its eighth edition in search of the youngest talents of the music of the region. That is why, minors of 12 years have an appointment in the VIII Artistic Contest of Young Performers which will be held at the Real Club Náutico de Dénia on May 5.

This contest, which has become a point of union of the schools and conservatories of the Marina Alta, began ten years ago and many of the current references of music in the area have passed through it. It is an activity for the youngest, who are the ones who have the most capacity to learn, who thanks to the enthusiasm, interest and effort will make a better world.

The inscriptions are already open for the modalities of wind wood, metal wind, string, percussion, guitar and piano. Those interested should fill out the bulletin that has been edited by the Conservatory and send it to the center together with the proof of payment of the 30 euros that is worth the registration. The participants must interpret a compulsory work and a free work except in the percussion mode, where two compulsory works and two free works will be performed.

The first phase of the contest will be held on Saturday April 14, while the final will be held on Saturday May 5 at the facilities of the Real Club Náutico de Dénia. The winners in each modality will take a day trip to Formentera for two people thanks to the Fundació Baleària and an accrediting diploma.

The presentation of VIII Artistic Contest of Young Performers It had the participation of Jaime Portolés, president of RCN Dénia; the councilor for culture, Rafa Carrió; Antonio Monfort, of the Fundació Baleària; Juan Antonio Sesé, president of the AMPA of the Conservatory; and Jaume Antoni Signes, director of the center.

It also featured the performance of Sergi Llorens, winner of the first edition, who performed several pieces in the company of the pianist Carlos Navarro.
