The works to improve the pavement of Marqués de Campo go out to tender

May 05 from 2022 - 16: 12

The Governing Board has approved the start of the contracting file for the works to improve the road surface and replace the lights with other LED technology on Carrer del Marqués de Campo, with a tender budget of 272.982,88 euros. These works are included in the Infrastructure Investment and Financing Plan of the province of Alicante, known as Plan Plan 2020-2023, which translates into the fact that they will be co-financed by the Diputación de Alicante, which will contribute 55% of the total (181.670,10 euros), and the Dénia City Council, which will contribute 148.639,18 euros.

Currently, the surface of Marqués de Campo shows significant deterioration, as a result of the intense road traffic that it has endured over the years. This situation implies a danger for motorized traffic and for the circulation of pedestrians, for which it is necessary to improve the pavement.

On the other hand, the 106 light points installed in the street still work with lights with sodium vapor technology. To improve the energy efficiency of the installation, they will be replaced by lights with LED technology. The term of execution of the works is four months.

underground containers

This week the tender for the installation of underground container batteries at the intersection of Calle de Sagunto with Patricio Ferrándiz and Calle del Mercado has also been published. The bidding budget is 134.084,47 euros and the term to carry out the work is two months.

This project dates back to 2020. It was included in the budgets for that year and the works were contracted. Once started and due to problems with the water table, the works were suspended. As of September 2021, the city council terminated the works contract. These facts, together with the recent signing of the new contract for the urban solid waste collection service, management of the eco-park and street cleaning, have meant that a modification has been introduced in the original project that includes new technical and economic conditions adjusted to the conditions of the new concession contract.

In Sagunto Street, a battery will be installed with 2 urban solid waste containers, 1 glass container, 1 paper/cardboard container and 1 container, and in Mercado Street, 3 urban solid waste containers, 1 glass container, 1 paper/cardboard and 1 packaging. All containers will conform to the one stipulated in the new contract.
