Support of employers structural Strategic Plan

06 December 2014 - 00: 01

After the second meeting that the Círculo de Empresarios de Dénia and Marina Alta (CEDMA) held with the Councilor for Urban Planning, Vicente Chelet, the businessmen support the Strategic Structural Plan that has been proposed.

They consider that once approved by the municipal corporation it would legalize the urban planning of Dénia, currently regulated by a Transitory Urbanistic Regime (RUT) that expires in the 2016. With its approval, the competences regarding urban planning would no longer be in the hands of the Conselleria to return to the City Council.

Was forwarded to the mayor's concern that the Strategic Structure Plan leaves out the Les Marines, crucial for the tourism sector, the engine of the local economy, both now and in the future. Michelet said that the problems afflicting this area can only be solved if previously declared to Denia as a floodable area.

This condition would lead to in depth studies and analyzes that would help to correct the problem. The Federation considers that the approval of the plan would be a good opportunity to revitalize Les Marines by providing it with an attractive connection and in good conditions with the urban center that creates a priority measure.

Chelet was asked to start up an Advisory Planning Council, a request that has been accepted by the popular mayor who announced that it will propose to the Local Government Board.
