The mayor, Vicent Grimalt, today signed a decree with the reorganization of delegations of the government team after the resignation of Councilor Cristina Morera formalized and made public yesterday. Until her departure, Morera was first deputy mayor and delegate councilor for Equality and Inclusive Policies, including the areas of Social Welfare, Health and Housing.
As of tomorrow, the date on which the appointments and delegations of the decree will become effective, Melani Ivars assumes the general powers in matters of Equality and Inclusive Policies and becomes the seventh deputy mayor and member of the Governing Board. It also maintains its delegations in matters of Youth, Transparency and Education.
The first mayoral tenure falls on Maria Josep Ripoll; Paco Roselló takes the second position and is followed, in order, by Maite Pérez (3rd), Javier Scotto (4th), Elisabet Cardona (5th), Raúl García de la Reina (6th) and Melani Ivars (7. ª).
The special competence in Housing matters will be assumed by Councilor Óscar Mengual and the Mayor, Vicent Grimalt, will head the Public Health area.
