The vice president and counselor for Equality and Inclusive Policies, Mónica Oltra, yesterday presented the first Social Services infrastructure plan of the Valencian Community 2021-2025, the Convivint Plan, a plan that projects in Dénia the longed-for second home for the elderly and its day center, of public management; the creation of a specific center for people with mental illness and rehabilitation; and improvements in the center for childhood and adolescence in Les Rotes.

The spokesperson for Compromís in Dénia, Rafa Carrió, wanted to value this announcement as "a historic moment for Dénia", since "since the last legislature we have been working to achieve the much-needed second residence, and thanks to the commitment of the Generalitat to bring resources closer to citizens, Dénia will be able to comply with that claim, and it will also be public management ".

According to the Plan, the infrastructures that are proposed are designed as open centers, away from the traditional institutional seclusion and focused on promoting inclusion.

"These infrastructures are the guarantee of the Welfare State, the foundations of our social structure and a step forward in the social vaccine," says Carrió.

This plan follows the steps of the already started Building Plan of the Department of Education led by the Valencian Vicent # Marzà, and that since 2017 has launched the construction and adaptation of public educational infrastructures in Dénia together with the City Council.

From this initiative now arises this ambitious Plan Convivint that will have a general investment in the Valencian territory of 561 million euros for the reform and start-up of 247 facilities, and that will allow the creation of 6.600 new public places in residences and centers of day, as well as the creation of 3.500 new jobs.

Carrió explains that "we feel great pride in the policies promoted by Mónica Oltra's department, which put people at the center, reinforce social services, end privatization and promote sustainable and future-oriented investments."
