Quique Dacosta preparing a paella in Brazil for a hundred people in need

Quique Dacosta has participated this week in a solidarity act carried out in Brazil thanks to which more than a hundred people have had access to a plate of food made with special ingredients: the leftovers from the preparation of daily meals in the Olympic Park , installed in Rio de Janeiro, during the last Olympic Games.

Is Gastromotiva Refettorio, a social initiative in which chefs from around the world participate, such as Alain Ducasse, Alex Atala, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Felipe Bronze, Joan Roca, Kamilla Seidler, Leonor Espinosa, Rafa Costa e Silva and Virgilio Martínez. Gastromotiva Refettorio It is an initiative of chef Massimo Bottura by David Hertz, chef and founder of Gastromotiva, and journalist Alexandra Forbes. For this occasion, the chef who lives in Dénia prepared rice in paella who came to these people without financial resources.

After the end of the Games, Refettorio Gastromotiva will continue to receive donations from other partners to continue the mission of providing food for free to children in socially vulnerable situations for a period of ten years.

Quique Dacosta collaborates with other solidarity campaigns like the campaign Restaurants Against Hunger, Which holds a solidarity menu in each of its four restaurants -Quique Dacosta Restaurant, Mercatbar, El Poblet y Vuelve Carolina- with the objective of raising funds against child malnutrition.
