Quique Dacosta, awarded by the Royal Spanish Academy of Gastronomy

The Royal Spanish Academy of Gastronomy has awarded the chef and adopted son of Dénia Quique Dacosta at the 2010 National Kitchen Awards with the Special Prize for innovation for his restaurant in Dénia.
Among other winners are Elena Arzak, prize for best chef with Pepe Rodríguez, Josep Roca, sommelier Celler San Rock, or the Mercat de la Boqueria Barcelona.

The awards, which were announced yesterday, will be presented at a gala to be held next 15 October, the feast of Santa Teresa (patron of gourmets) in Madrid.
