"What the hell have we approved in today's plenary session?"

06 2023 April - 20: 58

The municipal group of the PP of Dénia has voted today against the General Plan for including, among many other things, a clause imposed by the Ministry in a requirement through which Dénia is responsible for possible liabilities assets derived from this General Plan.

Our intervention as a popular municipal group has been very clear in this regard: accepting that the citizens of Dénia have to pay sentences and that the Generalitat is not responsible is outrageous. Because this clause is detrimental to the interests of the city and can mortgage the future of the next generations of Dianenses. All the municipal opposition groups have spoken in a similar sense.

The answer given to us by the Councilor for Town Planning, Mrs. Ripoll, has been, verbatim, “per responsabilitat portem endavant this General Plan, the Ministry's requirement is an obligation. Face that they do not share their contingut in absolute, if they do not abide by this requirement, the General Plan will not be approved, it is the condition for their approval”. It can be verified on the YouTube channel of the City Council, as it can also be verified that during the plenary session we have discussed the report of the Municipal Secretary against including this clause, that there is one.

Now Ms. Ripoll writes an opinion article in which it says that the municipal government has NOT approved this clause. So, where are we? Was it mandatory or was it not mandatory? If it was mandatory and the Dénia government has NOT included it, will the Ministry NOT approve the General Plan as the councilor has stated? And if it was not really mandatory to include it, why have we been told that it was in plenary session? Why didn't you directly say that you hadn't included it? Why on the website of the City Council itself, in the plenary press release, does it say that the clause has been included? Has Mrs. Ripoll been in the same plenary session as the rest of the members of the municipal Corporation this morning? What is this all about?
