The red flag flies in almost all the beaches of Dénia today. Only two of them allow swimming due to weather conditions.
The beaches of les Deveses, Almadrava, Molins, Bovetes and les Rotes have the red flag raised during this day. The strong sea prevents swimming, so the lifeguard service has decided to prohibit entering the water to avoid accidents. According to reports from the City Council, the waves have reached 2 meters in height at times, and have been accompanied by strong currents and undertow.
Only the beach of Punta del Raset and, for a few minutes, the Marineta Cassiana and Les Marines are now letting them bathe, although the yellow flag is waving there to warn of the risk.
