I have the minutes of the V Congrés d'Estudis Navy held in 2009

February 28 from 2015 - 00: 00

At the end of 2009, and organized by the late IECMA secretary, Antoni Lluís Carrió, he was held in Denia V Congrà © s dâ € ™ Estudis de la Marina: "Mudèjars, Moriscos and Cristians to the Navy and the Safor. 400 years of lâ € ™ expelled" with the aim of updating the study of Valencian society, both in relation to the Moorish population as a Christian, between the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries.

This conference helped to know the history, the way of life, with particular emphasis on coexistence between the two communities until the time of the expulsion of the Moors in 1609 and subsequent repopulation largely with people from Mallorca.

Now, more than five years later, the Institut d'Estudis Comarcals Marina Alta (IECMA) and the Institute of Culture Juan Gil-Albert, presented the proceedings of this conference which are collected by the communications 30 divided into thematic blocks .

The architect Josep Ivars presented the study "Proposal for the protection of lâ € ™ urbanisme andalusà valenciÃ: alqueries i ravals", a work that is a compendium of the evolution of Islamic urbanism and the remains hidden in the urban fabric of the towns of the Marina.

Rafael Benítez (Univ. Of Valencia) addressed the issue of "The parishes of Moriscos in the Navy. Historical evolution of their formation and reform", Which he highlighted the difficulties of those priests sent to the people of Moriscos of the Navy and how the Church actually never allocated sufficient means for evangelization.

Also participating in the congress was the late professor at the University of Valencia, Manuel Ardit, who spoke about the economic consequences of expulsion through tithes between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries, while Professor Manuel Lomas spoke about "The deportation of the last Valencian Moors (1610-1614)".

The presentation of these minutes was carried out by the Councilor for Culture of Dénia, Pepa Sivera, the president of the IECMA, Rosa Seser and the representatives of the Institute of Culture Juan Gil-Albert José Luís Ferris and Rosa Monzó.
