The PP of Dénia denounces that the government team "hears but does not listen" as a summary of 2017

20 December 2017 - 04: 33

A few days remain for the 2017 to come to an end, and it is time to take stock. The political parties add to this "Christmas tradition" and summarize what, in their opinion, has been the 2017.

The first to do so were the councilors of the Popular Party, who this Monday shared an informative breakfast with the press to share the feelings left by this year that is about to end. And everything can be summarized, according to María Mut, in that "the government team hears but does not listen".

And is that, according to the president of the party in Dénia, there are many decisions "incomprehensible" that has taken the government of PSOE and Compromís since they came to the mayor's office. As an example he put the future redevelopment of the Valgamediós square and Pare Pere street, a work that would mean the elimination of a hundred parking spaces and that already has the discomfort of the residents of the neighborhood.

Continuing with the works, Mut recalled that, during his time in the government, José Moncho Street was discarded as the location of the Bus Station because, in addition to eliminating parking spaces, the access and exit of buses will become very complicated because of the size of the roundabout.

Urbanism

The star theme of this year, urbanism, did not escape the criticism of the popular. For Mut, it is significant that the Ministry has taken four months in the drafting of the new urban regulations (NUTU) that turn out to be "a copy of the RUT that adds the Finca de la Baronesa and the grounds for the schools of La Xara and Raquel Payà". In your opinion, these rules "They will serve the basics" and stressed that "in certain areas clash with what the General Structural Plan proposes".

About the PGE, María Mut warned about the mouth of the Vía Parque in the Plaza Jaume I, where there are already four schools, the courts, access to La Pedrera and a lot of vehicle traffic. In his opinion, a large part of the allegations will be referred to this aspect.

Errors in projects

Mut was accompanied by councilors Isabel Gallego and Pepa Sivera, who presented some issues on the table. Isabel Gallego recalled that from her party they have been warning of errors in the projects that are being undertaken, such as the redevelopment of the Camí del Cementeri, which is a work "that is not well delivered."

Sivera focused on the educational field, highlighting the lack of nominative items in the budgets of the Generalitat Valenciana for the infrastructure of Dénia. The councilor also regretted that 12.000 euros have been allocated to the study of the pedestrianization of Marqués de Campo street and that a game is not allocated to improve the lighting of the streets at Christmas or the appearance of the gardens.
