The popular group of Dénia present a motion to the next plenary session to defend "linguistic rights" students in the Region and "that there is no negative discrimination for students based on the language model in which they receive education".

Popular, María Mut po header, recall that the decree approved by the Consell "It is designed so that who wants Spanish is left with the minimum of hours in English, and who chooses Valencian will be rewarded with the maximum accreditation in the referred foreign language".

Specifically refer to Dynamic Multilingual Education Program. This program contains six levels of proficiency in languages ranging from basic level to advanced level 1 2. The decree states that once the training period the level of competence of students will be certified, so that those who finish high school with a Valencian advanced level, ie English and gain accreditation B1 English and C1 in Valencian, unlike those who have chosen the basic level or Castilian, which will be without accreditation.

The popular claim that this decree suffers from the principle that "The Spanish education system is inspired, among other principles, in equity, which guarantees equal opportunities, equal rights and opportunities that help overcome any discrimination and universal accessibility to education".

They also remember that "The Consell goes beyond wanting to impose the use of the Valencian, not only in the training of students, but in the entire school environment and in the educational administration, and in its relationship with parents and public or private entities, which is incompatible with the third article of the Spanish Constitution ".

That is why in the regular full of March Dénia ask the City Council to ensure the linguistic rights of students to freely choose Castilian as the language. Also to ensure effective freedom of parents to choose the education they want for their children, according to constitutional principles and in any case foreign language is used to reward the choice of one or the other official language. Finally ask that parents not linguistic impositions, students, civil servants and any public or private entity established in its relationship with educational administration.
