The government team has convened for Thursday at 14 hours a full of extraordinary character with a single point on the agenda: suspending licenses in discontinued buildings in the draft version of the General Plan. Some buildings that with the new Urban Regime are no longer in the catalog of Protected Property. It will be at that plenary when the vote on the suspension of licenses

The councilor for Urban Planning, Vicente Chelet yesterday convened an informative commission in which all the groups with municipal representation were present. His proposal to suspend licenses in these properties, until the Generalitat changes the catalog or they are exposed in the new General Plan, was voted against by the PSOE, while Center Unificat, Compromís and Ciudadanos abstained.

The socialist group points to another solution that involves the suspension of licenses for three months and in this way try to accelerate a new cataloging of these buildings by the Consellería.

Chelet intends to create a mixed commission formed by a heritage architect of the Generalitat Valenciana, a representative of the College of Architects and the architect of the city council, as well as representatives of the political groups and that they are the ones who decide if they can give licenses, Once seen the respective reports.

One of the buildings that has created the most concern in its new situation is the old Hostal Comercio, as well as the buildings with matamars on the Baix la Mar façade, the Torreta Portolés and a farm in the Les Rotes area. All of them, who had maximum protection, have ceased to have it.
Other properties that have seen their protection lowered are the old English Warehouse, houses on Cop Street and the old fish market.
