Throughout the morning of Thursday, August 25, the agents of the Dénia Local Police Maritime Surveillance Service, carrying out their surveillance and control functions of the bathing areas marked out by the City Council, have been able to verify how in the protected environment of the Marine Reserve (Rotes and Cova Tallada) some recreational boat users fail to comply with the prohibitions on anchoring in the area or keeping an adequate distance from the coast.
Dropping the anchor or getting too close to this area of incalculable natural value are practices that are extremely harmful to the aquatic ecosystem.
The agents proceeded to urge the skippers of the boats to lift their moorings in the prohibited area, which is why they transferred their complaints to the Department of Ecological Transition.
