The excuse does not exist. That is the main message left by the documentary Skilful Rock. In it, Urko and Javi climb the 400 meters of altitude on the Mediterranean of the Peñón de Ifach. Up there, there are no surprises. The truly incredible thing about this audiovisual piece is that Urko is missing a leg and that Javi is blind.

Urko Carmona and Francisco Javier Aguilar thus become an autonomous team with no external support, turning this short into a refreshing bath of motivation and positive energy. In the film we can see two stories of improvement, two stories that have managed to adapt to the circumstances and turn their disability into strength and tenacity.

Its history has been converted into an audiovisual piece by the Dianense director Hugo Jareño (Gnaro productos), who has won two prizes in the Kirolene Film Fest 2018 of Durango: the best amateur short film about mountain sports and climbing and the best short film for inclusion.

In a fun way, without epics or artifices, these athletes teach us how much they can train the barriers.

The documentary is projected this Wednesday 23 of May in the hall of events of the Llebeig school. The pass will be at the 20: 00 hours, with free admission, and the attendees can then share a small talk with the director and the athletes, who return to the Marina Alta to star in a film of The Edge of the Impossible and infect their spirit of overcoming the students of the special education school Raquel Payá.
