Occupation of more than 90% during the first fifteen days of August

The month of August has started very well for Dénia and you just have to walk around the main arteries of the city to feel it.
As announced by the Councilor for Tourism of Dénia Pepa Font, "the global occupation in the tourist accommodation of Dénia during the first half of August" has been very high, exceeding 90%. "

Hotel establishments have registered an average of 92% occupancy, tourist rental accommodation has been around 91% and campsites have had an average of 88%. Compared to last year, there has been an increase between 4 and 8%, depending on the type of establishment.

The "tourist info" of Dénia, to 1.657 daily visits

For its part, Dénia tourist information points, the central office, the office of the Plaza del Consell and the support point of the Esplanade Cervantes, have received more than 24.860 people, which means a daily average of 1.657 visits . According to the town hall, this figure exceeds those recorded during the same period last year, where the influx was close to 6.000 less people.

An 52%, national tourism

During this first half of August, national tourism has been the one that has gone most to Dénia, with an 52%, while the rest has been international.

The places of origin of the national tourism have been, mainly, the Community of Madrid (43% of the national total), rest of the Valencian Community (20%), Catalonia (7%) and Basque Country (6% of the national total).

As regards the main international sources, France ranks first (58% of the total), followed by the United Kingdom (17%), Germany (11,7%), Belgium (2,5%), Eastern European countries (2,4%) and the Netherlands (1,8% of the total).
