The Museums of Dénia have organized a new program of guided visits to two of the most relevant archaeological sites in the city: the Alt de Benimaquia site, one of the oldest wine presses in Europe, dating back to 500 years BC; and the Catxupa cave, a 6.000-year-old sanctuary of Levantine rock art from the Neolithic Age.

The visits, which will run until December 5, begin this weekend: Saturday 17, at the Iberian site of Benimaquia; and Sunday 18, in Catxupa.

All routes start at 10.30 am. Visits to Benimaquia will all start from La Xara (south entrance, Camí de Pedreguer), and visits to Catxupa will have the CN 332 highway, km 187,5 (Venta de Parra) as their meeting point.

Those interested in signing up should call 96 642 02 60 (Ethnological Museum), from Tuesday to Saturday, 10.30 a.m. to 13 p.m. and from 16 p.m. to 19 p.m.
