New Year's Eve in Dénia is one of the most special events in the city's Christmas calendar. Neighbors and visitors seek to enjoy the end of the year bells and welcome the next one in the best possible way. Luckily, the party always finds a place in the Christmas program of the capital of the Marina Alta.

This verbena traditionally has a large following and gathers hundreds of people to celebrate the chimes as a group. It is a free public event that has been held for a few years every New Year's Eve. Only in 2020 and 2021 did it have to be suspended due to the coronavirus.
The party usually starts half an hour before the chimes, and lasts until well into the early hours of the morning. In 2023-2024, the main party will start at 23:30 p.m. and will last until 3:00 a.m.

The festival is celebrated, as is tradition, in the Glorieta del País Valencià in Dénia. It thus returns this year to its usual location after last New Year's Eve, which due to the works had to be moved to La Vía.
