Moors and Christians retake the street in the Christian reception

The Filà Marins Corsaris, Christian captaincy 2014, dressed up on Saturday night in a gala for the Christian reception attended by many revelers and authorities.

The event took place in the pedestrian area between the parking station and the Costa Blanca Hotel, where the Corsairs have established their headquarters this holiday season.

Paul and Iker Puente, captain and Christian standard-bearer, welcomed the attendees enjoyed a delicious dinner until it was time to march.

Minutes before midnight, the rest of revelers rushed to the scene to participate in the festive entraeta through the streets La Via, Diana and Marqués de Campo, under the watchful gaze of thousands of people enjoying at the time of the terraces of downtown from the city.

The parade was led by the captains, their flag bearers, the mayor of Dénia, Ana Kringe, the party councilor, Paco Arnau, and the president of the FEMMiCC, Josele Maldonado. As happened during the entrance to the Moorish reception, when the family of the Moorish captain arrived at Tasca Eulalia, they presented the authorities with glasses of cava to toast.

At the end of the entree, the party people moved back to the Filà Marins Corsaris, where the party continued with the company of two local charangas, Cachorras Band and Toca't un Ou, which enlivened the night until dawn.
