The arrival of summer in Dénia is the arrival of the holidays. If Wednesday we knew the program of the Festa Major, which will be developed from 8 to 16 in July, today is the turn of other patron saint's parties, those of Sant Roc, which will copy the acts of the first fortnight of August.

The events will begin on Saturday 5 of August, at 20: 30 hours with the proclamation, by Ramon Bertó, in the Plaza del Consell. In the days leading up to the party, the main changes are in the receptions of the captaincies, which will be held on Tuesday nights 8 (Christian reception) and Thursday 10 (reception dead). This year, as a novelty, the trap that is performed that night will be made before dinner, at 21: 30 hours.

The big days of the party will start on Sunday August 13 with the landing, an act for which the Federation continues to bet to make it a benchmark and the most important act after the gala parade. This year the disembarkation will be carried out again on the beach of the old Saladino, and for its development there will be a company specialized in this type of event, with the aim of giving it greater prominence.

After the children's parade on Monday, August 14, the big day of the party will arrive, the gala parade on Tuesday, August 15. This year with a new schedule, at 18:00 p.m., and with a different starting order. On this occasion, the two captaincy will open their respective sides. Thus, the parade will begin with the pageantry of the Christian captaincy, the filà Templaris; will continue with filaes Christian; They will be followed by the Moorish captaincy, the Filà Amazigh, and after them the filaes of the Moorish side.

The parties will end on Wednesday 16 of August with another novelty in the program: tattoo, The last parade of the holidays, changes its direction. The federation has proposed starting from the Red Cross along the streets Marqués de Campo and Diana to finish in the Plaza del Consell, "our place", According to the president of the FEMMICC.

The poster, by Adela Marzà

For the festivities of 2017, once again the Federation has relied on a party to prepare the poster. In this case, the chosen one has been Adela Marzà, a designer by profession who has produced a poster very characteristic of her style, in which two faces stand out and through which the author has wanted to convey the strength and explosion of color that festivals are of Moors and Christians.

The president of FEMMIC explained that Adela's choice as designer of the poster is determined by several factors. It is a historical festival of its filà, Almogàvers, which this year celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the incorporation of women into the party. Adela Marzà was flagged in 2013 and the first trò de la filà last year.
