Moros y Cristianos present their positions for the 2018 today

This Saturday, February 17, one of the central events of the Mig Any week of Moros y Cristianos is held in Dénia, the presentation of the 2018 charges.

It will be at 11:30 in the morning in the Sala Condado, and will serve to officially present this year's charges: the Christian captain Vicente Correcher Gómez, from the Mozárabes filà, along with his standard-bearer, Paqui Fernández García; and the Moorish captain, Miquel Asunción Avargues, along with his standard-bearer, Antonia Bolufer Pradas, of the Berebers filà.

This year, as a novelty, the captains will receive from their ancestors the sabers that accredit them as such, and what their names will be recorded as part of the history of the party. The flagged ones, for their part, will receive the flags of their predecessors and will impose the corresponding bow ties. In addition, the role of the ambassadors of each side, who will also be presented, will be especially important.

During the event, the First Tró of each filà will also be presented and, at the end of the ceremony, the prizes of the children's drawing competition that FEMMICC organizes each year will be presented.

At the end of the event, around 13:30 p.m., the festivities will go to the Red Cross to start from there, at 14:00 p.m., an entree that will take them through Marqués de Campo street to La Mar street, where the reception of the captaincies will be held.
