28 December 2018 - 08: 24

The eighth edition of the San Silvestre de Ondara Race featured Miquel Piera, an athlete from the Baleària Diànium Athletics Club who was the first to cross the finish line. Piera from the start of the race took command of the operations setting a pace that could only be followed by Fran López and Toni Soler. The three of them went together for a large part of the test until, with about 200 meters to go, Piera chose to leave his teammates on the run and appear alone at the finish line.

A few 20 seconds came together and holding hands, Lopez and Soler, demonstrating that before the competition is the friendship that unites them.

In women, the best was the xabiera athlete, Cristina Roselló, who was clearly the first to cross the finish line amid the applause of many of her students since she is a coach at the Municipal School of Athletics of Ondara. The second to cross the finish line was the athlete from the Baleària Diànium Athletics Club, Marta. Third place on the podium went to the athlete Cristina, from Corriol Xtrem Oliva.

The athletes had the animation of a group of batucada that with their music and rhythm gave color and atmosphere to the test.

As in the two previous editions, the test had a charitable character since the collection from the inscriptions, each participant contributed 3 euros, goes to the Mare de Déu de la Soletat Residence in the municipality.
