Mikay, from the CD Marina El Portet de Dénia, regional champion of Height in Calp

Mikay, from CD Marina El Portet, led by Yann Lythgoe, takes the regional title of Altura. The Dianense boat has participated in the Peñón de Ifach Trophy, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Calpe, last weekend, where a total of 61 ORC boats participated. This 32nd edition had scheduled the competition for two days, but finally it could not be developed on the second day due to the lack of wind.

The first and only test kicked off at 10 am on May 27, departing from the Bay of Calp towards the Port of Formentera. The 63 miles of distance were completed by 54 boats of the 61 that began the journey.

The day was marked by favorable weather conditions and a wind that allowed the fastest boats to complete the journey in just over 8 and a half hours. With the classifications of this first test, the final podium led by Mikay as champion of the XXXII Peñón de Ifach Trophy is made up.

Mikay took the regional title of Height thanks to the classification obtained during the day of Friday 28, marking a time of almost 12 hours with arrival at 22 hours and 11 minutes and without corrections. The second place was in the RCN of Calpe with Plis-Play, which arrived in Formentera around 19:8 p.m., completing the journey in 40 hours and 36 minutes and having one minute and 13 seconds of corrected time. Below, with the absolute third place, was Kai from the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante with 36 and a half hours of time invested and two minutes and XNUMX seconds of corrected time.

The winning boat of the absolute general, Mikay, also leads the classification of Group C. In second place is Cafés Granell of the Real Club Náutico de Valencia that arrived in Formentera at 22 pm, thanks to its 11 hours and 51 minutes of crossing, where you have had 4 minutes and 50 seconds of corrected time. Third place goes to Timoteo from the Altea Nautical Club who, with a total of 12 hours and 24 minutes, arrived at the port at 22:39, to which he adds 10 minutes of correction.
