Few days are left for the city of Dénia to relive the sensations of the month of August thanks to the celebration of the Mig Any de Moros y Cristianos, a week that comes with quite a few novelties this year. All of them, as explained by the president of the FEMMICC, Miguel Ángel Fullana, agreed with the festeros.
The first is a new event to be held on Monday, February 20. In the 19: 00 hours in the Church of the Assumption, will be held for the first time a blessing of the flags of the Moors and Christians. This act, which is implanted with intent to have continuity in the party, give special prominence to the champions of each side, in charge of carrying the flag proudly representing them.
The second novelty, and most significant change this year, is the change of schedule of the ticket that will be held on Saturday, February 25. In order to get more atmosphere in the street and avoid the freezing temperatures of the afternoon-night, the parade will be held from 12:30 pm, and will run from the Glorieta to the Red Cross.
These changes were presented in an act attended by representatives of all the filaes of Dénia by the president of the FEMMICC. With him were the captains of this year, Kiko Sentí, from the Templaris filà, and MªJosé López, from the Amazigh filà; the standard bearers, Alice Sentí and Salvador Gil; and the party councilor, Eva Ronda.
The Dianense artist Óscar Llamas has been in charge of the creation of the poster of the parties of Mig Any of this year. Llamas has opted for something new and different from what had been seen so far, with a comic style image that awoke the applause of the attendees during the presentation.
