Improvements in the urban gardens of Torrecremada

The Department of Environment, Agriculture and Climate Change, and the Office of Innovation and Creativity of the City of Dénia have developed a series of actions and activities aimed at improving urban gardens, in order to facilitate work and enhance sustainable and ecological agriculture.

Thus, it has opted for the composting and reuse of plant remains, so that material has been provided to urban gardens, among which are a composter and a shredder. This saves the rent of containers to take the waste.

In addition, signs and an information panel have been installed in each phase of urban garden, intended to inform about healthy eating, as well as the activities that are part of the Strategy of agricultural and territorial dynamisation 2017 / 2020 of the Department, within the Plan of Action DéniaMarina Alta Tastinglife of the Creative City of Gastronomy of UNESCO.

These actions and others related to agriculture have meant an investment in more than 30 local companies in Dénia and La Marina Alta dedicated to the training, supplies, design and products of the garden throughout the year.
