Environment proposes fifteen routes to discover the landscapes of Denia this summer

Summer is a perfect place to meet our landscapes in a different light that lets you discover nooks and unique sensations moment. Therefore, and in order to make known to locals and visitors our natural environment, the Department of Environment of the City of Dénia it organized fifteen routes for our most significant places.

The programming will start on July 20 and will run until August 12, and according to the area councilor, Josep Crespo, "These are easy routes, in which anyone from 9 years old can participate, which will be done at sunset and, sometimes, at night". These activities are free, except those where public transport use is made, where you have to pay the ticket price.

As a novelty this year, it is worth highlighting the new destinations such as the Marjal natural park, visiting the Muntanyeta Verda and the Font Salada (July 27, from 19 pm to 23 pm) and the excursion that will visit the port of Xàbia, Gata and the face southwest of Montgó (July 29, from 18 to 22.15:XNUMX p.m.). This excursion will start with a boat trip to Xàbia and back from Gata by train.

In July, departures will be made to the Greenway (Wednesday 20th, from 20pm to 23pm); to the Mediterranean Garden of L'Albarda (Thursday 21, from 19 to 22 hours); an excursion along the rocky coast of Dénia on Friday 22, which includes a visit to the Manuel Soler xiloteca; visit the Mercat de Jesús Pobre (Sunday 24 from 20:30 p.m. to 00:30 a.m.); and two excursions to La Xara: one that will travel through Benimaquia, Coll de Pous and La Pedrera on Thursday 28 and another in which the monumental trees and the Vía Verde will be visited, on Sunday, July 31.

The month of August begins with the only route of the program that presents a medium difficulty: the visit to the Cova de l'Aigua with a return through the Racó del Bou and the Camí de la Colònia on the Montgó (August 3, 19.30 at 22 hours). On the 4th, from 20.30 pm to 23 pm, a tour is proposed to see the regeneration of the natural park 23 months after the last fire it suffered and includes a picnic dinner at Torre del Gerro. On the 5th the route from the port of Xàbia, Gata and back to the Montgó will be repeated and on the 7th the visit to the Jesús Pobre riurau market, with the same schedules as in July.

The August 10, 22 to 0.30 hours of a night itinerary will take the pedestrian path of Via Verde Pool and river to the old school of El Palmar. There, thanks to the collaboration of the Astronomical Association Marina Alta, there will be opportunity to participate in an astronomical observation telescope. The August 11 visit to the garden of L'Albarda and day 12 reissued, this summer program ends with a route through the rocky coastline of Les Rotes with xiloteca visit to Manuel Soler, which houses a large collection of wood of trees from around the world.

From the Department of the Environment recommend be provided with water or mountain sports shoes and flashlight for night outings.
