Mazón responds to the Generalitat considering the announcement of the tram from Dénia to Gandia a "mockery"
The president of the Diputación de Alicante, Carlos Mazón, today expressed his perplexity at the Consell's announcement to set the operation of the future Dénia-Gandia tram within 7 years, "a mockery for the people of Alicante and the Valencians, taking into account He realizes that during all these years nothing has been done about it”, he commented.
“After years in which the Generalitat Valenciana has not claimed the Government of Spain the execution of the coastal train, now it promises this line for seven years”, Mazón has reproached, for whom this time horizon is “a mockery” and "testifies that the Generalitat Valenciana is always in tow of the needs and demands of citizens".
The president of the Diputación de Alicante announced last May his intention to promote and develop a feasibility study regarding the execution of this line with the aim of linking the north of the province of Alicante with the south of the province of Valencia , a commitment that he extended to his counterpart from the Valencia Provincial Council, Toni Gaspar.

“The Government of Spain and the Generalitat Valenciana have not complied with the Valencians, they have been doing nothing about it for too long and now the Consell is proposing a project that will have to wait another seven years. The Dénia-Gandia connection "is an infrastructure that we must implement urgently and effectively, applying cooperation mechanisms that facilitate its viability, since we are talking about an extremely profitable area, with a vocation for high frequency and road traffic, not only in summer , but throughout the year”, he emphasized.
