Mayca Sala and Miquel Piera winners of the II Ondara Solidarity Course
The athletes, belonging to the Baleària Diànium Athletics Club, Mayca Sala and Miquel Piera were the winners, both in women and men, of the II Ondara Solidarity Course. A test that was performed for the benefit of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC).
Piera, who was the first of the participants to cross the goal arc after traveling a route of 6 kilometers, used a time of 21.29. The second place went to Javier Mahiques, an independent athlete, the third being Dianense Fran López.
While in women, the best was Mayca Sala from CA Baleària Diànium with a mark of 27.13. The second to reach the finish line was Carol Hernández, from CA Ondara, being third Almudena Sánchez, also from the Ondara club.
In this solidarity test that had two races, one for runners and the other for walkers, there was the participation of 800 people of all ages who wanted to collaborate with this sporting event organized by the Department of Sports and the Local Board of the AECC , with the collaboration of Ondara Athletics Club.
The most important thing was that a total of 6.150 euros were raised for the fight against cancer, clearly exceeding the figure of the first edition.
