More voices against oil exploration

February 21 from 2014 - 00: 01

If the news about the possible oil drilling in the Gulf of Valencia is useful for anything, it is undoubtedly to unite Dénia and the region with the same objective: that they do not happen.

Yesterday, full of Dénia unanimously approved the allegations to be submitted to environmental impact assessment of the project. It was held in an extraordinary plenary session and urgent convened with the urgency of knowing that Saturday is the last day for filing such claims.

All the parties with representation, without exception, were against this project and approved the allegations that Dénia will present.

CEDMA makes a petition to the European Parliament

The Circle of Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta, CEDMA, which represents more than 1.300 companies throughout the region, agreed to submit a petition to the European Parliament to stop hydrocarbon surveys. The petition was sent to the Petitions Committee of the European Parliament and it urges the said body to "declare the annulment of the Royal Hydrocarbons Research Authorization Decrees, for violation of the European Union's powers" and "suspend the administrative procedures for the authorization of the 3D seismic acquisition campaign and submit the company's request for authorization of the European Union".

Gent de Dénia also says NO

Compromís is committed to a new energy model
