More land protected in the Montgó

Since last Tuesday, the Natural Park Montgó has 354 hectares protected after registration Montgo II area in the Catalog of Public Utility Montes Valencia.

It is the maximum protection of the soil, which means that it can not be sold or seized and passes to have the maximum protection established by the Forestry Law. In this way, the soil is protected from erosion processes, the preservation of biological diversity and the maintenance of ecological processes.

This year Montgó celebrates 25 as a Natural Park, and the Department of Infrastructure and Environment wants to take advantage of this event to boost the socio-economic revitalization of the park. Thus, during this 2012 different activities are expected, both in Dénia and Xàbia, among which are excursions, camping and drawing and literary competitions.
