More than fifty new positives in the Marina Alta in the last week
If we are not facing a new wave of infections, the truth is that it is very similar. When it is already more than two weeks since the Sant Joan bridge, we begin to notice the first consequences of the festive period. And it reminds too much of the beginning of the hard stages of contagion.
In the new update of coronavirus data by health departments, Sanitat warns 53 new positives in the Marina Alta in the last week (33 since Friday). In total there are already 9.770 infections, of which there are 78 active. Therefore, the accumulated incidence shoots up to 45,42 infections per 100.000 inhabitants, moving the region further and further away from the new normal and bringing it dangerously closer to risk levels higher contagion.
In addition, the region adds a new deceased with coronavirus, so there are already 199 deaths with COVID since the pandemic arrived in the Marina Alta.
In the case of Dénia, 14 new positives have been added in these last 7 days. Of the 3.048 registered cases, 21 remain active, so the incidence increases again to 49,8 infections and borders on the average level of risk of contagion.
