More than 180 volunteers withdraw 391 kilograms of waste from the coast of Dénia

Although the weather was not right, on the coldest day of October, a total of 183 people participated last Sunday in the day of cleaning the coast Per a Net Mar, organized by the Department of Environment of the City of Dénia.

The participants were distributed in groups from the Cova Tallà to the Punta del Raset beach, including the breakwaters of Faralló, the southern breakwater of the port of Dénia and part of the north.

A total of 391 kilograms of waste were collected, of which 136 kilograms are plastics; 114 kilograms metal waste; 86 kg of glass and 55 kilograms of organic material. It attracts the attention of 800 butts that alumni of the school Lady Elizabeth picked up in the area of ​​Les Arenetes.

The volunteers had the collaboration of a vehicle from the cleaning company Pavasal, which traveled the Paseo de Les Rotes, Punta del Raset and breakwaters collecting the bagged waste along the route to transfer it to the base site, located in the Marina Marina of Dénia. There they were deposited in containers of the SEGAPLAST company, for their subsequent classification and quantification.
