Dénia Marina hosts the first test of Mediterranean Race Circuit Sup

The facilities of the Marina de Dénia Sports and Tourist Port will host the first test of the paddel Surf season at the regional level of the Mediterranean Sup circuit, consisting of ten tests in the Valencian Community. The competition will be held next Saturday, April 25.

Gabriel Martínez, director of Marina de Dénia, commented during the presentation that "This event fits in the line that we are carrying out from Marina de Dénia, of bringing nautical to all citizens. In the last edition, the Dénia Boat Show had a paddle surf activity, and this year we are going to repeat it as it had an excellent reception. It is a sport that is fashionable and accessible to all audiences."Marina de Dénia has signed an agreement with Ocean Academy to participate in this circuit, which is at the highest level.

It is planned that more than 50 people participate in the five categories that the test has. The first, 14 'Mixed, will cover a distance of 10 kilometers, as in 12'6. The Allround category, with a distance of 6 kilometers, is the most open to anyone who has no experience in this sport.

There are also two tests in which children can participate. "This is an activity where they can practice without risk and it is very fun for the little ones," explained Sebastian Ducos, organizer of the test. "

The test will begin at 8: 30 hours on the jetty of Marina de Denia and end at 17: 30 hours with the awards ceremony. Entries can be made until Monday, April 20 sending an email to info@division-nautica.com.

The participants of the test will enjoy trophies and prizes for the first three classified in each category. In addition to Marina de Dénia, the Ocean Academy Surf School, Náutica Corcho and Rumbo 090 Restaurant organize the event.
