Mari Martínez resigned as councilor of Citizens in the city of Dénia

Councilwoman Mari Martínez, spokesman for the group of citizens at the session, announced this Friday his resignation as mayor of the City Council for reasons "strictly personal and professional", It says in a statement to the media.

Martínez took possession of his minutes as councilor after the resignation of Juan Sancho in the year 2011. At that time as a CDL councilor, until the group changed to Citizens. In May 2015 attended the mayor of Dénia and finally got two councilors. Since that time, together with Sergio Benito, he has been the representation of Citizens in the City Hall of Dénia.

Mari Martinez wanted "to thank all the dianenses for the trust placed in me, giving me their confidence in the last municipal elections and giving me the immense honor of being able to work for them". His resignation will be effective in full next June. He will assume his post Esteban Chornet, next on the list of citizens.

With that of Mari Martínez, there are already three resignations of councilors in the City of Dénia after those of Fran Vives (PP) and Antonio Losada (Podemos).
