Retirees Local volunteers A21 relived the crash of a plane crash in the Montgó in 1950

It was a fact that few people remembered details, and thanks to the initiative of the Local 21 Agenda "Llocs a la memòria", retired volunteers who participate in it have rebuilt the facts.

"Llocs a la memòria" is that older people tell stories that they remember from Dénia years ago, and it was the painter Jaime Costa Tur who relived the accident that, on December 5 of 1950, was lived in Dénia: a plane English military, who made the route Istres, in France - Gibraltar, hit Montgó and in that accident seven officers of the English air forces lost their lives.

Among all volunteers 21 Local Agenda recalling some details of the accident they reconstructed the facts, reading, studying documents and interviewing people who might know something. Finally they decided to mount an expedition to the exact point of impact, beyond the Camí of the colony.

Once on the scene, and patiently, they were finding mysterious biblical phrases of Isaiah, which appeared in relation to the accident during that time, and apparently someone is responsible for repainting to keep that remembrance and tribute . But not only that: also found two pieces of the fuselage that remained on the mountain over 60 years after it all happened.

The experience was chronicled in a video explaining the issuance of these intrepid explorers motivated by curiosity and respect and love for the history of Dénia.
