Socialists want to ensure and expand academic services UNED Dénia

After the approval last week unanimously by the plenary session of Dénia City Council of the Addendum to the Patronage Agreement of the Associated Center of the UNED, the socialist councilor Paco Roselló explained "Our affirmative vote was the result of the urgency of the issue and the need to comply with the 27 / 2013 27 Law of December rationalization and sustainability of Local Administration" However, Roselló clarified that this addendum is the first step for the drafting, within 18 months, of statutes adapted to the aforementioned law.

For this reason, the Socialist mayor announced "The Socialists will defend the inclusion of a clause guaranteeing academic services in the draft Statutes and we will defend that the number of tutors currently existing and even increasing".

The Socialist responsible for economic issues, added "The socialists will not allow the UNED to become, once again, an objective of budgetary and academic cuts" For the socialists, the 27 / 2013 law is being implemented gradually, without regard, without contemplations, for this reason, "we are not going to allow its application to suppose reductions in the services obtained by the citizens, in this case, the educational services provided by the UNED".
