The socialists of Dénia celebrate the historic success of the first absolute majority achieved in the City Council
The socialists of Dénia have made history by getting, the 26 night of May of 2019, the first absolute majority recorded in the City of Dénia in the history of democracy. To date, only ten councilors have been reached on two occasions.
The House of the Poble, seat of the Socialists in the Street Historian Palau, was a coming and going of people since the first results of the scrutiny were known, that since the 10% already granted to the socialists the 12 councilors that have finally been confirmed .
Hugs, toasts and many congratulations to the reelected, Vicent Grimalt, who received, among the first visits of the night, that of his partner in the Compromís government, Rafa Carrió. Álex Rodenkirchen and Rosa Medel, from Podemos, and Jovana Balaguer, from Esquerra Unida, also visited the socialist headquarters to congratulate the winners of the night. Citizen representatives also came to congratulate the Socialists.
In addition, Grimalt received the telephone congratulations of Mario Vidal and María Mut, in addition to the call of the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, Manolo Mata, and the minister of infrastructure, Maria José Salvador.
Of the results of the other games, Grimalt has regretted that Podemos has been left out, and says that he has taken surprises as Citizens has been left with two councilors. We remember that Compromís remains with 3 councilors, one less than it has now. The Popular Party down to 3 councilmen, while Ciudadanos maintains the two councilors it has. Gent de Dénia adds an aedile and enters alone at City Hall.
They remain outside of Podemos, Vox, Esquerra Unida and Ara Dénia, who have not reached the 5% of votes needed to obtain municipal representation.
The mayor of Dénia affirms that his first action will be to sit with the 21 councilors that make up the municipal corporation. And beyond the dianenses borders, Grimalt assures that, as soon as the ministries are conformed, he will travel to Madrid to demand the train to Dénia.
