January 06 from 2018 - 09: 35

In keeping with tradition, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar were on Friday, 5 in January, in Dénia. Thousands of children, accompanied by their families, waited for them in the streets of the city center to enjoy the pre-ride to a magical night full of illusion for the whole family.

The Magi came discreetly to the port of Dénia, where they mounted their floats to, from above, greet all the people who gathered in the streets of Marqués de Campo and Diana to receive them.

The Local Police of Dénia opened the procession, announcing the arrival of Their Majesties. After them, the characters of the most beloved cartoons by children like The Smurfs, Tadeo Jones and The Mummy, The Minions or Mickey and Minnie.

A group of mosquitoes and jugglers filled the course with color, interacting with the public. After them, the ballet of the school of Cuqui Ivars gave way to the dance of the letters of the Magi and to a boat from which bubbles were thrown and which announced the arrival of the Star of the East.

Drums and trumpets gave way to the royal emissaries, who last Wednesday already visited Dénia to collect the letters of the boys and girls and, finally, the Magi arrived. Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar were escorted by their torches and two pages in their floats, and accompanied by musicians who announced their arrival in Dénia. As usual, the show was closed by the Agrupació Artística Musical de Dénia, who throughout the tour played Christmas carols.

Upon their arrival at City Hall, the Magi made the Adoration of the Child Jesus in the Living Bethlehem that was installed in the ground floor of the Town Hall with the collaboration of the parish of San Miguel Arcángel. Next, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar greeted the mayor of the city, Vicent Grimalt; and the councilors Rafa Carrió, Óscar Mengual and Pepa Sivera.

After a beautiful light show, Gaspar was in charge of directing a few words to the children of Dénia from the balcony of the City Hall. The king asked that they take care of the Montgó, one of the greatest treasures we have in Dénia, and that in his day he helped them find their way to find the city. To end the celebration of the arrival of the Magi to Dénia, fireworks were launched.

As usual in recent years, the Magi received the children who were in the square, who were able to take photos with Their Majesties before living a magical night full of gifts and good wishes.
