Moors and Christians already have the key to Dénia to enjoy during their holidays

The festivities of Sant Roc Moros i Cristians de Dénia have officially begun with the traditional act of proclamation and delivery of keys.

Afternoon Friday night, Moors, Christians, overseers, authorities and the public filled the stands of the Plaza del Consell to hear the proclamation, this year by the festero Antonio Uceda, who placed special emphasis on the enjoyment of the party for part of all.

The bands were then imposed on the banners of the captaincies and finally the president of the Association of Moors and Christians, Amparo Mata, asked the mayor for the keys to the city, promising to make good use of them and ensuring that they are safely stored.

Once the ceremony, the revelers moved to Yate Restaurant to celebrate the gala dinner.
