Moors and Christians face the party with a row less and developments in the program

The month of August, the month of Moors and Christians in Dénia, is approaching, and preparations are already underway so that the city is impregnated with the essence of the festival.

The president of the Association of Moors and Christians (AMMICC), Josele Maldonado, accompanied by this year's captains and flag bearers and the party councilor, Paco Arnau, presented this year's program, which despite having one less row (la filà Amiries), faces the party with great enthusiasm and novelties that will try to enhance the events.

The festivities will officially begin on Saturday 3 of August with the proclamation, the delivery of keys and the raising of banners. This year the person in charge of opening the celebrations will be the Vicent Ahuir party, of the Filà Deniers, which was shown "grateful for the responsibility" which he ensured taking "with desire". According Ahuir, the day 4 deliver a speech "intimate, which reflects what the party is". After the captains receive the keys to the city from the mayor, Moors and Christians will be moved to the halls El Poblet for the gala dinner.

On the days 6 and 8 the receptions of the captains will be celebrated, with informal entrances through the streets of Dénia. On Saturday 10 the charges and partiers will visit the users of the Santa Lucia Residence and on Sunday 11 will serve as a preamble for the big week with the paella contest that will be held on Marqués de Campo Street. In the afternoon, at 20: 30 hours, it will be the festive music concert by the Musical Artistic Group of Dénia in the Plaza del Consell. The day will end with the 11º Meeting of Associations in the Lonja car park.

The big week of Moors and Christians will begin on August 13 Mars, landing day. This year, as a novelty and for the act to win spectacularly, the AMMICC has managed to bring the ship from the television series "El Barco", of 62 meters in length and made of wood. After the signing of the truce in the Plaza del Consell, the festivities will celebrate the camping dinner, which this year as a novelty moves to the Torrecremada Park.

The children's parade will star the day on Wednesday 14 and 15 Thursday is the big day of the festival with gala parade, through the streets La Mar, Diana and Marqués de Campo from 18 hours.

The Moors and Christians in Dénia end on Friday agostocon 16 of the Battle of musketry, which remains in the morning but changes his itinerary, to occupy the streets Diana, and Glorieta Marqués de Campo.
