The students of the region demonstrated in Dénia against the "3 + 2" of Minister Wert

February 26 from 2015 - 23: 04

Dénia was the meeting point for about 250 students from across the region, who supported the teaching strike as a form of protest against what is known as "3+2" announced by the Ministry of Education and through which the students will be forced to study two years of master's degree that they will have to pay out of pocket.

At 12:30 p.m. the demonstration started from the Archduke Carlos square in the regional capital, where we could see representatives of the educational centers of Dénia and Xàbia, as well as some political representatives, such as the candidates of Compromís and UPyD.

During the march, which toured the streets Patricio Ferrándiz, Marqués de Campo and Diana to the City Hall, the students chanted slogans against this educational reform. Screaming like "If we are the future, why are you giving us shit?"; «Wert resignation for being a fascist and a bastard» o «Military expenses for schools and hospitals» others joined against the National Police.

Upon arrival at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the student union A Contracorrent, promoters of the demonstration, read a statement denouncing that this reform "intends to expel from university classrooms all those who are not part of wealthy families", besides remembering that "Only the children of those who, little by little, have taken our money away will have access to education."

The demonstration ended with the applause of the students by a public university and for everyone.
