Dianenses David Pérez and Marc Paradeda successfully complete the 35 km of the Great Trail of the Picos de Europa

Hundreds of athletes gathered last May 12 in Asturias to participate in the Great Trail of the Picos de Europa.

Among the massive presence of athletes from all over the country were David Pérez and Marc Paradeda, both members of the Dénia Gin Running Tonic Club team, who completed a great competition despite the cold, rain, hail and a lot of mud.

The dianenses participated in the test of 35 kilometers. David Pérez managed to finish in a time of 05 hours and 09 minutes, in the 96 position of the classification and the 48 of his category.

For his part, Marc Paradeda completed the course in 05 hours and 40 minutes, with the 140 of the general classification and the 64 of his category.

The Great Trail of the Picos de Europa is a mountain race event that runs along the western slopes of the Picos de Europa. It consists of four tests: an 55 km ultra, a 35km Trail version, a 21 km mountain half marathon and a 10 km race, with start and finish in the town of Benia de Onís, one of the entrance gates to the Picos de Europa National Park.
