The animalists go out to the street in Dénia to demand the end of the Bous to the Sea

A group of around 80 people demonstrated on Thursday afternoon in the center of Dénia to demand the end of the Bous a la Mar celebrations. The rally left at 19:00 p.m. from the Glorieta accompanied by a strong presence police force made up of four vehicles and numerous agents.

The protesters walked down Marqués de Campo Street carrying protest banners that read "Stop Cruelty," "He feels fear and pain. Suffering is not fun," "Stop torture. It is not art or culture." o "Festes sense mistreat animal", among other messages.

During the tour recorded in different languages ​​explaining the reason for the demonstration and their opinion about the Bous a la Mar in particular and the celebrations with bulls in general.

The procession reached the end of the Esplanade Cervantes, at the height of the bullring, where at that time was being held the evening session of Bous a la Mar. There, representatives of the organization and various participating groups took the floor to demand the end of these celebrations, recriminating that it is not a tradition, but a "archaic practice".

The protests of the animal collective do not end here. This Friday they have called a new protest rally that will start at 11: 00 hours at Marqués de Campo.
