Rain and gusting winds: we are on orange alert

13 March 2017 - 07: 45

The weather forecasts have been met and the orange alert has been present in Dénia and the region in the form of heavy rains throughout the night that, occasionally, may be accompanied by strong winds.

The State Meteorological Agency has decreed, all day Monday, major risk by rain, wind and coastal phenomena. It is expected to be accumulated during 12 hours until 100 liters per square meter and wind gusts reach 90 km / h in the morning. In the 4 sea waves to 5 meters are expected throughout the day.

At the moment there is no notice that classes are suspended in schools. The only recommendation issued by the Generalitat Valenciana is the one referring to plantà work, which is recommended to postpone until Wednesday due to the risk that crane work may entail. In Dénia, faults such as Centro, Saladar or Port Rotes have delayed the planting of their monuments, scheduled for this Tuesday, to Wednesday 15 in March.
