Carnival arrives in Dénia with music as the protagonist

The Carnival is celebrated in Dénia this Saturday 2 of March with the music as protagonist of the theme of ambience. Organized by the Department of Festivals, which annually moves the party in an area of ​​the city to promote all neighborhoods and decentralize the activities that are scheduled in the city, the 2019 Carnival is celebrated in the area of ​​Patricio Ferrándiz. Specifically, the stage will be installed at the junction of this road with the street of Sagunto. The Association of Autonomous Merchants of Dénia (ACADE) is collaborating in the celebration of this year.

Participants can pick up the numbers starting at 17 hours, on La Vía street, at the height of the Toy Museum. The parade will begin at 17: 30 hours and will cross the streets of Via, Diana and Patricio Ferrándiz until you reach the junction with Sagunto.

At the 18: 30 hours will begin the costume contest with the parade of the participants on stage, before the members of the jury. According to the bases, four categories of contestants are established: Mini, for participants up to 4 years of age; Infant, from 5 to 12 years; Duo, couples with no age limit and Comparsa, for 3 or more participants without age limit.

The awards ceremony and the party with music and animation will begin at 19: 30 hours. In addition, chocolate and snack will be distributed to the participants. The complete bases of the 2019 Carnival costume contest can be consulted on the website of the City of Dénia (www.denia.es).
