L'Escaldà de la Pansa de Jesús Pobre, way of being Intangible Cultural Asset

Last weekend the EATIM of Jesus Pobre celebrated the traditional act of l'Escaldà de la Pansa in the restored Riu Rau del Senyor of Benissadaví, an act framed in the festivities in honor of the poet Ben Al-Labanna. The main event was held on Sunday, in which many residents attended the Riu Rau to participate in l'escaldà of the Pansa.

The event was attended by the president of the Provincial Council, Luisa Pastor, who announced that the Culture Commission of the Alicante Provincial Council will soon study the request of the mayor of Jesús Pobre, Javier Scotto Di Tella, to consider this agricultural festival as Good Intangible Cultural.

The festivities in honor of Ben Al-Labbana gather every year to many neighbors and curious who recall the days in which formerly the grapes were scalded to turn into raisins.
