We have complained a lot about the heat in Dénia in recent weeks, but, unfortunately, the worst is yet to come. The north coast of the province is facing what will be the hottest weekend of the year so far, with record temperatures, above what was recorded in 2022.
On Saturday the Dianense thermometers will exceed the feared 40º. At least, that is the prediction made by the State Meteorological Agency, pointing out that, in addition, it will be a day without the presence of clouds or almost wind. A tough day, for sure. In fact, it will be the highest temperature recorded in Dénia in all of 2022.
Without a doubt, we are experiencing a record summer. Not only in the Marina Alta, but all of Europe has faced extreme and very extraordinary temperatures. What's more, the temperature of the water is breaking away from all previous records. The measurement buoy located in Valencia marked 29,72º yesterday, the highest value since records exist. According to the Climatology Laboratory of the University of Alicante, the temperature of the Mediterranean is currently very similar to that of the Caribbean.
