[VIDEOS] The Moors and Christians parties ended in the square where everything starts

August 17 from 2017 - 01: 55

The Moors and Christians festivals of Dénia ended, for the first time, in the square where it all begins, the Consell. The festive proclamation was given there on August 5, which began the festivities, and on the night of August 16, the final shot was fired after the retreat parade.

The queues gathered in Red Cross to start from there, formed in squadrons, towards the square. And if for some reason this parade stands out to be the most informal of the holidays. Good examples of this are the versions chosen by the squadrons and the bands of music to parade. This year it sounded Slowly, Bell over Bell, How dare you, Hello Don Pepito, I want to give you Or the soundtrack of L'Alqueria Blanca personalized for the Almogàvers.

On arrival at the plaza, FEMMICC President Miguel Angel Fullana acknowledged that "If I had dreamed a perfect holiday, with what happened this day I would have fallen short". It was he who, in the company of the captains and flaggers of this year, gave the order so that the first three of each filà proceeded to the final shot. The act ended with the interpretation of the unofficial anthem of Denia, The Vell Montgó, Which once again put the square on foot.
