They have been waiting, although not as long as expected. The fallas of Dénia already take to the streets despite the fact that there are still many days left for the usual day of the plantà. After so much waiting, why in such a hurry all of a sudden?
The ninots that will see the light of day in the next few days have been under cover for two years. They waited in their ships, well protected from the passage of time and weather conditions. But today, with a gray sky that is not very hopeful, we are already seeing flaws in the streets, covered at the moment, but which will rise in the next few hours.
Apparently, disagreements with the Fallas artists of some Dianense commissions for having rejected the September plantà (which was carried out, for example, by Valencia) have caused their monuments to see the light before their time. The work has accumulated this year and their order of priorities, possibly vindictive, has caused this curious scenario.
This creates a great disappointment in the Fallas 2022, because despite the fact that they are the ones that have taken the longest to arrive, they have also been the parties that have started the soonest, in a way. And, in addition, they will be the ones that will accompany us the longest, having some monuments for more than a week in streets that, therefore, have already been closed to traffic in some sections.
