The Dénia Fallas have spoken. After months of controversial debate about when the Fallas festivities should be held in the capital of the Marina Alta, today was the time for the commissions, which in the end it is they who are affected by the decision, could finally express themselves. And they have.
This afternoon the vote has been carried out in which all the Dénia commissions have participated, and in which, as already announced, the Fallera Local Board has not participated, abstaining despite showing their preferences for its celebration in September.
However, and overwhelmingly, the Dianense Fallas world has decided to wait until March 2022 to celebrate the, now yes, Josefinas parties. Of the 17 votes cast, 15 have been for March 2022, and only 2 have voted for September 2021.
In this way, the Fallas will return, but they will do so in March 2022 in Dénia. The monuments will wait a little more under lock and key, to finally re-decorate the streets and squares of Diane on that date.
At the end of the vote, Bertomeu recalled that it is time to respect the decision made by the commissions and all go to one with a very clear objective: that the failures of Dénia return with all their greatness, always respecting the sanitary measures in force at all times .
From this moment, the Fallera Local Board and the fallas commissions focus their efforts on the fallas of Dénia 2022, which will have Safir Malonda and Martina Gimeno, and their courts of honor, as maximum representatives of the party.
